USER GOAL:
Users feel managing their finances is a daunting and boring task. They are not motivated to use the appropriate apps. We need to understand what will motivate a user to regularly use a financial application.

BUSINESS GOAL:
Re-invent the future of Mint to have user engagement that mirrors a social app. Improve Mint’s 30-60-90 drop-off rate, conversion funnel and first-time user experience.

SOLUTION:
People feel empowered when they are working toward an important goal with easy-to-follow tasks. This application helps users fulfill their major life milestones. We transform the daunting tasks into manageable actions and goals, helping to fulfill big dreams with smaller baby steps.

CONTRIBUTION:
Strategic planning, research, interaction design, visual design and prototyping.

STATUS:
This was a concept car project and ran two rapid experiments.

SUCCESS METRICS:
• 23% of users clicked through to declare a dream.
• 2x users are willing to save for their dreams instead of for emergency funds.
