Start/Stop MySQL Server on Ubuntu

  1. Start MySQL Server through service startup. (User must have administrative right)
    sh> sudo /etc/init.d/mysql start
    
  2. To stop
    sh> sudo /etc/init.d/mysql stop
    
  3. To restart
    sh> sudo /etc/init.d/mysql restart
